EveryMatrix adds co-CEO as iGaming tech firm scales operations
Jonas Groes has advised EveryMatrix for several years and will relocate to Copenhagen, where the company recently opened an office. He joins from EY, where he spent a decade as a partner in the firm’s Nordic consulting practice, leading projects across strategy, digitalisation and innovation for government and infrastructure clients. He previously held senior positions in both public and private organisations.
The appointment marks the first time EveryMatrix will have joint CEOs. The company has grown rapidly in recent years, expanding its workforce and securing contracts with some of the sector’s largest global gambling operators and state lotteries. It now employs more than 1,500 people in 15 countries and serves over 300 clients worldwide, including in the regulated U.S. market.
Ebbe Groes said the decision to appoint a co-CEO was driven by the demands of scaling the business as it targets further growth over the next five years. He said sharing the top role would free time to focus on long-term strategic planning as the group aims to become a top-three tier-1 technology provider globally by 2030.
“To share a CEO position requires complete trust at both personal and professional levels,” he said, adding that his brother’s background in technology, finance and policy made him suited for the role.
Jonas Groes said the move represented a significant step in his career and that he had observed the company’s expansion close-up over the years. “What the team has built is impressive, and our different strengths complement each other,” he said.
Platform for casino and affiliate management
EveryMatrix provides modular platform technology and services for casino, sports betting, payments and affiliate management. Its systems are used by tier-1 operators as well as emerging brands, with a focus on regulated markets. The company is a member of the World Lottery Association and the European Lotteries Association. In 2023, it became the first iGaming supplier to receive WLA Safer Gambling Certification.
The group has promoted its investment in compliance and player-protection tools as it seeks further contracts in jurisdictions with stricter regulatory requirements.
With the leadership change, EveryMatrix enters 2026 looking to maintain momentum following several years of rapid expansion, new market entries and continued competition among technology providers supplying global gambling operators and national lotteries.
