Gaming in Germany Conference Confirms New Speakers

The Gaming in Germany Conference will take place on 11 November 2025 in Berlin. A number of distinguished new speakers have been added to its already impressive agenda.
Sebastian Buchholz, Head of Licensing and Market Supervision at the Gemeinsame Glücksspielbehörde der Länder (GGL), will deliver the event’s keynote address.
The operator perspective will be well represented at this year’s Gaming in Germany Conference, with Christian Heins, Director iGaming, Tipico; Alex Green, Vice President – Games, ZEAL Network; and Ewout Keuleers, former General Counsel, Kindred Group, all confirmed to appear at the event.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear from both German and European trade associations, including Dr. Dirk Quermann, President of the Deutscher Online Casinoverband (DOCV); Mathias Dahms, President of the Deutscher Sportwettenverband (DSWV); and Maarten Haijer, Secretary General of the European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA), all of whom will contribute to the discussions.
Willem van Oort, founder of Gaming in Germany, commented: “I am extremely pleased with this year’s speaker lineup. It reflects the relevance of the event and highlights the key topics being addressed this year: the threat of the black market and the evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty. Licensed operators are clearly committed to making the German iGaming market more sustainable and competitive, and Gaming in Germany is proud to play a role in promoting constructive discussion and debate on these issues.”
He added: “As the event takes place during the ongoing evaluation of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty, this is certainly the right time to be part of the conversation.”
Spotlight on key industry challenges
In addition to the strong lineup of speakers, this year’s conference will place particular emphasis on pressing regulatory and market issues. The event will provide a platform for dialogue on the effectiveness of the 2021 State Gambling Treaty and explore strategies to counter the growing threat of the black market.
With regulators, operators, and industry associations all represented, the conference aims to facilitate a well-rounded discussion on how to ensure a more sustainable and competitive German iGaming market moving forward.
Breakout sessions and networking opportunities
Beyond the main stage, the Gaming in Germany Conference will also feature several highly practical breakout sessions covering topics such as data compliance, game certification, responsible gaming (RG), live casino, eSports, and more.
The full agenda, including the breakout program, is available online.
Alongside its comprehensive content, the conference will also offer extensive networking opportunities, including a pre-conference dinner, coffee breaks, lunch, and concluding networking drinks.
The 2025 Gaming in Germany Conference will take place on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at the DoubleTree by Hilton Ku’damm in Berlin, just 100 meters from the magnificent Kurfürstendamm.
